If you are given a church 365 or email address you will first need to initialise your account by logging into the church Office 365 portal. This is required before your email and other features will work.
Please follow these steps:
- On your smartphone, download the ‘Microsoft Authenticator’ App from your phone’s app or Play Store. (This is important even if you don’t intend to use a smartphone for accessing church email)
- Login to the church Microsoft 365 portal, or use this link: login.microsoft.com
- Enter your church email address and temporary password provided to you already by email
- You will be guided through the initial setup process, which includes configuring multi-factor authentication (using the Microsoft Authenticator app) to secure your account against compromised passwords and answering some security questions to simplify recovering your account should passwords be forgotten.
- On first login you will need to change your password
- Answer security questions – This process will allow you to reset your own password should you need to, and prevents unauthorised access.
- Select the Office 365 App Launcher , and then select Outlook to initialise your emails
- The first time opening outlook you will be asked to confirm your language and timezone settings
