Graham’s Weekly Message

As you know by now, I like taking photographs at every opportunity, and having spent a few days in Norfolk last week, of course I had my camera with me as I walked some of the paths around Sheringham and Holt. In the warm sunshine, I managed to take the picture of this bee after he had his fill of nectar from the flower. Nature is a wonderful creation that brings us the seasons in due time and only falters when we try and interfere by our actions.

The bee is very active during the warm months, as I can vouch for by the movement of the bees in the church wall down the Rectory drive. They are but a small part in the big scheme of things, but a necessary part of the circle of life. We are all a part of nature’s life cycle, in one way or another and we need to keep ourselves within that cycle to enjoy what creation offers us in terms of sustenance for our bodies.

We have just celebrated the Holy Trinity in the church – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – often symbolised by a circle that indicates that all are working together as one, yet three separate components of the same God. It is a difficult concept to understand, but yet it brings to us the mystery of the nature of God. As we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, I hope that you can begin to grasp the greatness and wonder of our God, who gives us all we need to live a life of discipleship.

May I wish you God’s blessings
